92/100 F

Tasting Notes

Intensive straw yellow.

On the Nose intensely aromatic with classic varietal notes of lychee, ripe mango, rose petals, and honeysuckle, alongside subtle exotic spice (cardamom, nutmeg).

On the Palate full-bodied yet energetic. Rich tropical fruit flavors are supported by lively acidity and a distinct salty/rocky minerality that cuts through the concentration, leaving a clean, long finish.

Serving: Serve chilled at 50–54°F (10–12°C).

Food Pairings: The combination of aromatic spice, lush fruit, and fresh structure makes this wine versatile with high-flavor dishes.  Pair well with Spicy & Asian Cuisine: Thai green curry, sweet-and-sour wok dishes, or aromatic Indian curries. Savory & Rich Dishes: Roasted pork with horseradish, squash gnocchi. Cheeses: Strong blues (Gorgonzola), washed-rind cheeses (Taleggio), or aged Gruyère.

Crafted in the steep alpine vineyards of Northern Italy's South Tyrol, the Cantina Terlano Gewürztraminer 2023 represents one of the most celebrated expressions of this varietal in the world. Sourced from high-altitude plots situated 270 to 450 meters above sea level, this white wine captures the unique microclimate of cool mountain winds and warm sunny days. The result is an intensely aromatic wine that combines lush, tropical exoticism with a signature crisp alpine freshness.
