92/100 WS

Tasting Notes

Brilliant, bright pale yellow with distinct greenish and silver nuances catching the light.

On the Nose expect a highly fragrant bouquet, notes of green apple, white peach, and jasmine. You will also pick up distinct herbal nuances of lemon balm, mint, and fresh sage.

On the Palate It balances a zesty, crisp acidity with a surprisingly silky, voluminous texture. Primary flavors include ripe apricot, candied lemon zest, and pristine pit fruits. The finish is wonderfully long and persistent, it finishes with a savory, almost salty mineral edge, like licking a wet river stone that practically begs you to take another sip.

Food pairing: Because it effortlessly rides the line between crisp acidity and textural richness, it is an incredibly versatile food wine.

It cuts beautifully through the richness of a pizza, pasta tossed with a simple tomato sauce, or a rosemary-infused focaccia or just as aperitif.

Pairs perfectly with grilled white fish, pan-seared scallops, or roasted turkey breast.

Serving: Ideal temperature 50°F to 53°F (10°C to 12°C ).

A blend of Terlano's three most traditional white varieties, namely Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, this original cuvée, which was one of the first wines produced when the winery was founded, is an extremely layered and complex wine. Pinot Bianco, as the main variety used in the cuvée, provides the freshness and a good acid structure, while Chardonnay delivers a pleasing warmth and mellowness and Sauvignon Blanc adds the fine aromatic character. Hand harvest and selection of the grapes; pressing and clarification of the must by natural sedimentation; slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees for 6 - 7 months partly in stainless steel tanks (80%) and partly in big wooden barrels (20%).
