A bright, elegant expression of northern Italian Nebbiolo from the historic Alto Piemonte region. The 2018 Rovellotti Ghemme "Chioso dei Pomi" combines 85% Nebbiolo with 15% Vespolina, aged for three years in traditional large oak casks. It delivers vibrant red cherry, dried rose, crushed minerals, and subtle spice on a lifted, medium-bodied frame. Balanced by energetic acidity and fine-grained tannins, this classic red is fantastic with mushroom risotto, roasted meats, and aged cheeses now, or stashed away in the cellar for the next decade.
