Tasting Notes

Vibrant, luminous bright ruby red core.

On the Nose: Expect a burst of energetic, crunchy red fruits, think sour cherries, raspberries, and red currants, intermingled with classic Loire Valley signatures like crushed black pepper, violet petals, and a hint of fresh green herbs or black tea.

On the Palate: Light-to-medium-bodied, vibrant, and incredibly snappy. The acidity is crisp, and the tannins are incredibly soft and silky. It trades the intense, earthy, tobacco laden grip of older Chinons for a juicy, refreshing fruit profile.

Serving: It is highly recommended to serve this wine with a light chill around 55°F (12°C). Popping it in the fridge for 20 minutes before drinking accentuates the "fraîch" factor and makes the red fruit pop.

Food Pairings: This is incredibly versatile. It pairs effortlessly with classic charcuterie boards, paté, rillettes, and roast chicken. It’s also a stellar match for grilled sausages, burgers on the patio, or fresh goat cheese (Chèvre).

Domaine Olga Raffault Chinon "La Fraîch" 2024 From a legendary Loire Valley benchmark comes the ultimate, organic vin de soif (wine for thirst). Crafted from young-vine Cabernet Franc planted in sandy riverbed soils, "La Fraîch" skips the oak to deliver a pure, joyful burst of crunchy red currants, wild raspberries, and a snap of fresh white pepper. Exceptionally light on its feet, low in tannin, and ringing in at a refreshing 12% ABV, this is a vibrant, gulpable red built for immediate drinking. Serve it with a light chill alongside charcuterie, goat cheese, or backyard burgers.
