Tasting Notes

Clear, pale lemon with bright green reflections.

On the nose clean with pronounced intensity. You’ll find notes of ripe pear, green apple, white flowers. There is a distinct "crystalline" minerality that is characteristic of the Rabigato grape and the schist/granite soils.

On the palate dry, with brisk, high acidity. It has a lovely unctuous, providing a medium plus body that coats the palate. Flavour intensity is pronounced mirroring the fruits on the nose and driving into a deeply saline, mineral finish with outstanding length.

Food pairing: This wine is versatile but shines with dishes that have a bit of weight or acidity. Seafood: Grilled sea bass, octopus, or scallops. Poultry: Roasted chicken or turkey. Sauces: It handles butter-based or creamy herb sauces particularly well.

Serving: Best served at 50°F-54°F (10°C–12°C).

The Muxagat Branco 2023 is a refreshing, mineral-driven white wine from the Douro Superior region of Portugal. Produced by Muxagat Vinhos (under the guidance of winemaker Luís Seabra and Susana Lopes), it continues the estate's reputation for minimal intervention, high-altitude and textural complexity, terroir-focused wines that prioritize freshness over heavy oak.

It is a sophisticated, terroir-driven alternative to premium white Burgundy or high-end white Rioja.
