Bosco del Merlo Pinot Grigio Rosé 2025 is a dry, elegant Italian rosé made from 100% Pinot Grigio in the Delle Venezie DOC. It pours a soft copper with salmon-pink highlights. The nose is pear, wild strawberry, blackberry, and acacia flowers. On the palate it is fresh and well balanced, with lingering red berry and orchard fruit and a clean, mineral finish.

It scored 90 points from James Suckling and 96 points from Luca Maroni. It is vegan-friendly and sustainably made, from a family estate in Annone Veneto that has been crafting wines since 1977.

Why buy it: This is a rosé for people who want freshness without sweetness. A 90-point rating from James Suckling backs up its quality, and its dry, mineral finish makes it a convincing choice for anyone who usually avoids rosé. It is also a flexible bottle to keep on hand, because its bright acidity and red berry fruit suit everything from light appetizers to seafood and pasta. The grapes are picked in two stages to keep both lively acidity and ripe berry character, and the wine then ages on fine lees in stainless steel for a clean, polished style.

When to open it: Open it whenever the occasion calls for something light and celebratory. It is a natural fit for an aperitif gathering, where it works on its own or beside tapas and light appetizers. For a seafood dinner, pair it with baked salmon, grilled white fish, seafood risotto, oysters, or sushi. At a spring or summer lunch, it goes well with caprese salad, burrata with tomatoes, or fresh goat cheese over leafy greens. For a vegetarian table, try it with spring vegetable risotto, pesto pasta, or grain bowls. It also suits sunset toasts, brunch, and outdoor entertaining. This wine is best young and fresh, so open it soon after you receive it.
